Hot yoga systematically works your every muscle, tendon, joint, ligament, organ and gland. It also moves oxygenated blood to the cells of your body. We practise the original form of hot yoga, based on the Bikram series of 26 postures and 2 breathing exercises. We perform it over 90 or 60 minutes in a room, heated to approximately 42°C.

By the end of the class, you’ll feel rejuvenated, relaxed and ready to take on the challenges of another day.

Why is the room heated?

Because it facilitates deeper stretching, prevents injury and relieves tension. It promotes detoxification of the body, flushing toxins, and leaving you with a deep sense of relaxation and well being.

Our custom-built studio

With its lofty, high ceilings and modern technology, our brand new, architecturally designed facility in Clapham Junction is the perfect space for practice. It features:

  • the latest heating and humidity technology to ensure the air is always fully oxygenated
  • a large chill-out area where you can relax before and after class
  • 12 modern showers
  • Plenty of changing space
  • Manduka PRO series yoga mats.

These mats are designed to last a lifetime. And they’re manufactured through a process that doesn’t release toxic emissions into the atmosphere.

Hot Yoga Classes for beginners

Bikram Hot YogaBikram Method – 90 mins
The original and still the best Bikram Hot Yoga 90 minute class – 26 postures and 2 breathing exercises. The sequence consists of the same 26 postures (2 sets of each pose).

The room temperature is set to about 42° so this class is guaranteed to make you sweat as well as give your whole body, respiratory and cardiovascular system a good workout.

This series of poses allows the body to stretch, strengthen and detoxify and many report to have greatly reduced stress levels as well as chronic pain such as arthritis, joint, knee and back issues. The class is lead verbally so be prepared to listen! The idea behind this is to stop your mind from drifting and helping it to anchor into the present moment.

This class is open to all levels and recommended for students new to Bikram.

Bikram Method – 60 min
Bikram Hot Yoga 60 minute class – The sequence consists of the same 26 postures and 2 breathing exercises that you will find in the 90 minutes class, except that you will be doing 1 set of each pose instead of 2. There is a strong focus on the spine, therefore main spine postures are still done twice. Designed to have the same pace as the 90 minute class.

This class is open to all levels, although we recommend you practising a 90 minute beforehand.
